Bring Monero to DeFi with atomic liquidity.

Trustless, permissionless wrapped Monero. Exchange XMR for wsXMR backed by over-200% collateral through atomic mints and burns — no custodian, no bridge multisig to trust.

Wrapsynth's place in history

Click a point to explore.

2009
Bitcoin launches
Genesis block: "Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks." Trustless electronic cash — no intermediaries, no gatekeepers. The original promise.
2013
Mt. Gox handles 70% of Bitcoin trading
The promise of self-sovereign money, funneled through a single point of failure. 850,000 BTC would be lost when it collapsed in February 2014. The lesson was already clear: centralization is the weakness.
April 2014
Monero is born
From the CryptoNote whitepaper. Private by default — every transaction hides sender, recipient, and amount. No rich list. No traceable history. The spiritual successor to Bitcoin's original promise.
2017
The Bitcoin Block Size War
Bitcoin grinds to a halt. 1MB cap, $50 fees, transactions stuck for days. The community fractures into BTC and BCH. Years of toxic debate over a parameter that should have been uncontroversial. Meanwhile Monero has dynamic block sizes — the median scales automatically with usage. No cap to fight over. No civil war.
2016 — 2022
Monero hardens
While exchanges prepared to delist it, Monero was getting stronger.
RingCT
Transaction amounts hidden cryptographically. No one can see how much is being sent — not the sender, not the recipient, not the network.
RandomX + P2Pool
ASIC-resistant mining so a CPU competes with a data center. Trustless decentralized mining pool so no operator can withhold payouts or censor miners.
Dandelion++
Transaction propagation that hides your IP from the network. Even your ISP can't easily link you to your transactions.
Tail Emission
June 2022, block 2,641,623: reward locks at 0.6 XMR forever. Miners always have a reason to secure the network. No supply cliff.
2021 — 2022
First delistings
Bittrex delists Monero in January 2021, citing "evolving regulatory standards" — no specific law. Huobi follows in September 2022, removing 7 privacy coins at once. Neither exchange names a regulation.
2024
The major delistings
OKX removes all privacy tokens in January. Binance delists Monero in February — XMR drops 30%, then Binance force-converts remaining balances to USDC without consent. LocalMonero, the only P2P fiat on-ramp, shuts down in May after 7 years. Kraken delists for all of Europe in October: "We concluded we have no choice."
2025
73 exchanges drop privacy coins
The delisting wave becomes the new baseline — a 43% increase over 2023. Canadian regulators force Kraken Canada to delist XMR and shut down TradeOgre entirely.
2025 — 2026
Monero survives
On-chain transaction volumes increase, stabilizing above 2020–2021 levels. XMR near $797. Liquidity doesn't disappear — it reroutes. Atomic swaps, DEXs, and wrapped instruments become the new infrastructure.
Today
Monero, compatible with decentralized exchanges
Wrapsynth brings Monero to DeFi through trustless atomic swaps — no custodian, no multisig, no centralized listing to revoke. Monero's access to DeFi is now permanent.

Advantages

Built for composability

Monero is the best monetary blockchain and also the most isolated. No lending, no liquidity, no composability — just an asset you have to sell to ever use. Wrapsynth ends that, without asking you to trust a bridge operator with your coins.

wsXMR is private money made composable. Everything below inherits both properties.

Wrapsynth wsXMR
Trade DEX liquidity & perps Swap, hedge, settle
Earn Yield, Collateral, and Governance Put your XMR to work
Spend Payroll & commerce Private payments, composable rails
Build Cross-chain & agents Settlement layer for private money

Fungibility is fundamental

Use Monero in DeFi. No custodians, no bridges, no trust required.
